פירוש שאין צריך לעשותו כבנין1 (דהיינו ליתן מלח בגודש2), רק יתן מלח דרך פיזור. אבל מכל מקום צריך שיכסנו כולו לכתחלה כדלעיל3, וזהו שכתב יפזר עליו מלח שלא ישאר כו' (ב"י4, לדעת הרשב"א):
