אשהזהיר כהן טמא מעבוד, והוא אמרו יתברך לכהנים וינזרו מקדשי בני ישראל. ובתשיעי מסנהדרין (דף פ"ג:) אמרו מנין לכהן טמא ששמש שהוא במיתה דכתיב דבר אל אהרן ואל בניו וינזרו, ואמר במקום אחר ומתו בו כי יחללוהו, וכמו שהחלול ההוא הוא במיתה בידי שמים כן הוא, אמרו ולא יחללו את שם קדשי ואם חלל ועבד בטומאה חייב מיתה בידי שמים. (אמור אל הכהנים, הלכות ביאת מקדש פ"ד):
