אהזהיר משנות קדשים מקרבן לקרבן, כמו שאם היה שלמים לא נחזירנו חטאת, כי זה והדומה לזה בלא תעשה. והוא אמרו יתעלה לא יקדיש איש אותו, ובאה הקבלה לא יקדיש הקדש מזבח. ולשון ספרי אין לי אלא בכור מנין לכל הקדשים שאין משנין אותו מקדושה לקדושה, תלמוד לומר בבהמה לא יקדיש אותו רמז אל אמרו אשר יבוכר לה' בבהמה לא יקדיש, כאלו אמר כל מה שיהיה לה' בבהמה לא יקדשהו קדושה אחרת אבל יונח על ענינו, והתבארו משפטי מצוה זו בחמישי מתמורה.
