כי לא במותו יקח הכל. פירוש, אדם שיש לו מאה אלף ועדיין מאסף ממון ומתאוה עוד יותר, ואם נגזר עליו שיהיו לו ר' אלף ותיכף ימות, בוודאי לא ירצה בסך ממון ההוא ולא המיתה. וזהו [כי] לא במותו יקח הכל, ר"ל עבור מיתתו לא יקח, לא ירצה ליקח אפילו [כל] מה שבעולם.
