נוהגין שלא לישא אשה ושלא להסתפר בין פסח לעצרת, שמתאבלין על כ"ד אלפים מתלמידי רבי עקיבא שמתו בימים הללו. מותר לעשות שידוכין בלא נישואין שמא יקדמנו אחר.

לשון המחבר הוא "אבל לארס ולקדש שפיר דמי", ורבנו השמיט אירוסין וקידושין1 מטעם המבואר בח"י סק"ד שעכשיו אין מקדשין אלא בשעת נישואין.
