אהיא שצוה להקריב קרבן מוסף בשמיני של חג והוא מוסף שמיני חג העצרת. ומה שחייבו שנמנה מוסף זה בפני עצמו חלוק מכלל ימי הסכות, היות הנדרש אצלנו שמיני עצרת רגל בפני עצמו, וזה מבואר תכלית הבאור. (פינחס, תמידין ומוספין פ"י):
