אהיא שצונו להקהיל את העם ביום השני של סכות במוצאי שמטה ולקרוא קצת פרשיות ממשנה תורה באזניהם והוא אמרו הקהל את העם האנשים וגו' וזו היא מצות הקהל. ואמרו בקידושין (דף ל"ד) כל מצות עשה שהזמן גרמא נשים פטורות. והקשו והרי הקהל דמצות עשה שהזמן גרמא ונשים חייבות ובארו בסוף המאמר אין למדין מן הכללות. וכבר נתבארו משפטי מצוה זו וכל מי יקרא ואיך יקרא ואי זה דבר יקרא בפרק ז' מסוטה.
