אהיא שנצטוו הכהנים להדליק הנרות תמיד לפני ה' והוא אמרו יתברך שמו יערוך אותו אהרן ובניו וזאת היא מצות הטבת הנרות. וכבר התבארו דיני מצוה זו בשמיני ממנחות וביומא בפרק ראשון ובמסכת תמיד. (ואתה תצוה, תמידין ומוספין פרק ג'):
