כ"ק אדמו"ר זי"ע היה אוכל מאכל דגים בתחילת הסדר, ועובר לאכילתו היה מכסה את הדג בשכבת מלח עבה - כדרכו בקודש בכל סעודות יום-טוב, ואולי גם בכל פעם שהיה אוכל דגים.
