ערום יעשה בדעת וכסיל יפרוש אולת. פי' מי שהוא חכם, אף על פי שהוא עושה צרכי עצמו הוא עושה הכל בדעת, כלומר בדביקות השי"ת. ודע"ת הוא לשון התקשרות ודביקות, כמו ויד"ע אדם, וכן נאמר ד"ע את אלקי אביך, ר"ל התקשר והתדבק עם אלק"י אביך בתמידות בכל מעשיך. וכסיל יפרוש [אולת], כלומר אף על פי שהוא פרוש מהעולם ולומד תמיד, רק שלומד או מתפלל בלי דביקות והתקשרות, אולת היא לו1.
