אדמו"ר בסידורו לא כתב שיש לומר "לשם יחוד" או שאר בקשות ופסוקים לפני ברכת ספירת-העומר. אך אצל כ"ק אדמו"ר זי"ע היה ניכר בבירור שאומר משהו קודם הברכה.

אצל כ"ק אדמו"ר מוהרש"ב, לפני ברכת הספירה, היה הפסק של זמן מה (לשמע-אזן, עמ' 88)
