בתקון ליל הו"ר גם פרשה ברכה אומרים רק פ"א מקרא - היו יחידים שאאמו"ר ציום לאומרה בהו"ר עם פירש"י ואינה הוראה לרבים - ובערב שמחת תורה אומרים אותה שנים מקרא ואחד תרגום.
קודם הלל מסירים שתי הכריכות שעל הלולב, ונשארים רק הג' המאגדים ג' המינים יחד. בהושענא רבה טובלים פרוסת המוציא בדבש, אבל לא בשמע"צ ושמח"ת.
