חלוק לוחות הראשונות ולוחות האחרונות:

בלוחות עצמן - הראשונות מעשה אלקים, השניות פסל לך. המכתב - חרות על הלוחות שכדרז"ל עירובין (נד. א) הוא רק בלוחה"ר. במעלת בני ישראל - בלוחה"ר צדיקים, כשעמדו על הר סיני פסקה זוהמתן, בשניות בעלי תשובה. במעלת משה - במתן תורה ניתן למשה אלף אורות במתנה, ובחטא העגל ניטלו ממנו ולא חזרו בלוחות שניות (רק בשבת נותנים לו כדאי' בפע"ח). מעלת לוחה"ש שניתן ג"כ הלכות מדרש אגדות כו', כפלים לתושי' כדאי' בנדרים (כב. ב), וקירון עור פני משה.
