  • מנהג הרביים לומר מאמר חסידות ביום ב' דראש השנה, ולהזכיר את כל הנשיאים, ולהמשיך אמירתו למוצאי ראש השנה; ביאור העילוי של ראש השנה, ועילוי זה ממשיכים לימי החול שבמוצאי ראש השנה. (ס"א)
  • קביעות ראש השנה ביום ג' (שהוכפל בו כי טוב) - "טוב לשמים וטוב לבריות". במצוות נרות שבת קודש ב' הענינים יחד: טעם המנהג שהרביים היו נכנסים בערב ראש השנה לדבר עם הרבנית; לפרסם אודות הדלקת נרות שבת קודש החל מגיל חינוך ובברכה; להטוענים שזה "דבר חדש" - הרי גם יסוד בתי ספר לבנות הוא "חידוש", ובפרט שבכל הדורות היו מדליקים נרות שבת קודש, וכמעשה רב.   • הציווי "ומלאו הארץ וכבשוה" (שנאמר לאדם הראשון) שייך לכאו"א, ובנוגע לתלמידי ישיבות - חיזוק ישיבת חב"ד בכו"כ מקומות; מי שתקבל ע"ע להדליק נרות שבת קודש תקבל מהמזכירות ב' מטבעות של עשר, אחד עבור צדקה והשני לעשות כטוב בעיני'. (ס"ה)
