Chapter 128

אשִׁ֗יר הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת אַ֭שְׁרֵי כָּל־יְרֵ֣א יְהוָ֑ה הַ֝הֹלֵ֗ךְ בִּדְרָכָֽיו׃

1A song of ascents.
Happy is any man¹ who fears GOD,
who follows godly ways.

ביְגִ֣יעַ כַּ֭פֶּיךָ כִּ֣י תֹאכֵ֑ל אַ֝שְׁרֶ֗יךָ וְט֣וֹב לָֽךְ׃

2You shall enjoy the fruit of your labors;
you shall be happy and you shall prosper.

גאֶשְׁתְּךָ֤ ׀ כְּגֶ֥פֶן פֹּרִיָּה֮ בְּיַרְכְּתֵ֪י בֵ֫יתֶ֥ךָ בָּ֭נֶיךָ כִּשְׁתִלֵ֣י זֵיתִ֑ים סָ֝בִ֗יב לְשֻׁלְחָנֶֽךָ׃

3Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine within your house;
your children, like olive saplings around your table.

דהִנֵּ֣ה כִי־כֵ֭ן יְבֹ֥רַךְ גָּ֗בֶר יְרֵ֣א יְהוָֽה׃

4So shall all² who fear GOD be blessed.

היְבָרֶכְךָ֥ יְהוָ֗ה מִצִּ֫יּ֥וֹן וּ֭רְאֵה בְּט֣וּב יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם כֹּ֝֗ל יְמֵ֣י חַיֶּֽיךָ׃

5May GOD bless you from Zion;
may you share the prosperity of Jerusalem
all the days of your life,

ווּרְאֵֽה־בָנִ֥ים לְבָנֶ֑יךָ שָׁ֝ל֗וֹם עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

6and live to see your children’s children.
May all be well with Israel!
