הצ"צ כותב: אהבה דבחי' ועמך לא חפצתי (היינו) שלא לחפוץ שום דבר זולתו ית', ולא אפילו שמים וארץ שהם ג"ע עליון ותחתון, כי רק ביו"ד נברא כו', אלא תהי' האהבה רק לו ית' לבד, דהיינו למהו"ע ית' ממש. וכך הי' נשמע הלשון ממו"ר נ"ע (רבינו הזקן) בדביקותו, שהי' אומר בזה הלשון:

איך וויל זע גאר ניסט, איד וויל ניט דיין ג"ע איך וויל ניט דיין עוה"ב כו' איד וויל מער ניט אז דיך אליין.
