  • הטעם שמספר "שלישי" מודגש בחודש סיון, מצד שבזה מתבטא תוכן החודש; "שלישי" מראה על "טוב לשמים וטוב לבריות"; חיבור העולם (פירוד - שנים) עם אלקות (אחד) הוא ע"י תורה (שלישי). (ס"א)
  • כששבת הוא ערב ראש חודש רואים בגילוי את השפעת השבת על ראש חודש, והשפעת ראש חודש על השבת. (ס"ב)
  • כשמברכים החודש (מלשון חידוש) אומרים את שם החודש שעלה מבבל, כי דוקא בענינים אלו ישנה התחדשות אמיתית. (ס"ג)
