  • משה עבודתו מלמעלה למטה ולכך בחטא העגל התפלל על בני ישראל והי' אצלו מסירות נפש של הנשמה; פינחס עבודתו מלמטה למעלה, ולכן הי' אצלו מסירות יפש של הגוף, ופעל ענין התשובה, וההוראה לעשות מהגשמי כלי לאלקות מחוץ לד' אמותיו. (ס"א)
  • הוראה מההפטרה השייכת לכולם דירמי' מרמז על הגלות - הכוונה לעשות העולם כלי לאלקות ואין להתפעל מהעולם, היות שיש נשמה שהיא חלק אלקה והולך עם כוחותיו של הקב"ה. (ס"ז)
  • בחודש אב דוקא מתגלה אהבת הקב"ה לבני ישראל, ולכך נקרא אב; ע"י העבודה בזמן הגלות פועלים שהאהבה העצמית של הקב"ה תהי' בגילוי. (ס"י)
  • משה התנבא ב"זה", דבעבודה הו"ע המסירות נפש ונרגש אצלו דהגשמיות בעצם כלי לאלקות, ולכך אין הגשמיות פועלים ירידה, וההוראה: דכשיוצאים לחוצה להפיץ מעיינות - שלא יפעול ה"חוץ" ירידה אצלו, מחמת הקשר למשלח, שהוא בדוגמת משה. (סי"א)
